Q: How Long is the historic sightseeing tour?

A: We typically advertise that the tour is 90 minutes.  This includes stops at a few areas for pictures, and shopping.  The tour is meant to give you a taste of what there is to do in Cooperstown, and then encourage you to go back to your favorite places after!


Q: Do I need to reserve tickets in advance or can i buy at the door?

A: Currently, Leatherstocking Trolley tours are limited seating and we ask that you make your reservations in advance.  You will be provided a ticket that you will need to bring with you to be allowed on the tour.


Q: Is the tour narrated?

A: The simple answer is yes.  With 200 years of history, Cooperstown has quite a story to tell and we have experienced professional narrators to ensure you learn all there is to know about Cooperstown!


Q: Is Food and drink allowed?

A: We encourage you to bring any food or drink that you wish to bring (be sure to bring enough for the narrator and driver!)  However alcoholic beverages are not allowed except on private charters for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.  

Q: Does the price include admission into any of the museums?

A: No, the ticket price is for the trolley only.  However, discounted tickets for museums (other than the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum) are available from your narrator/driver.  Be sure to pick up before departing!

Q: Where do we park?

A: All historic tours will pick-up at the Blue Trolley lot at the south entrance of the village.  The parking lot is free, but spaces are limited, so make sure you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure!

Q: I see different color trolleys, can i get on any of them?

A: No, the Leatherstocking Trolley company's fleet is bit different.  Be sure to look for our logo on the side of the trolley.  The other trolley's operating are not tours but rather shuttles from parking lots to the business district.  

Q: Is the trolley open aired or closed?

A: Leathestocking Trolley's vehicles are open-aired vehicles and do not exceed 30 mph on the tour.  The open windows do have a protective window that will be rolled-down for protection from rainy weather.  We encourage guests to bring a sweatshirt/coat in case you get cold with the open-aired windows.  

Q: Are your trolley's handicap accessible?

A: Unfortunately the vehicles are not handicap accessible.  However, our narrator and drivers are there to provide any assistance they can, and will help visitors on and off the trolley's throughout the tour.

Q: Are Dogs allowed on the trolley's?

A: Leatherstocking Trolley Company welcomes any assistance animals, such as seeing-eye dogs, but all other animals are prohibited.

Q: What language are the tours offered in

A: All tours through Leatherstocking Trolley are provided in English.
